Emile Van Dorenmuseum Collection 3-Pack
Emile Van Dorenmuseum x Kunstsokken
Description
The complete Van Doren collection – three landscapes, one set
All three designs from our collaboration with the Emile Van Dorenmuseum in Genk, in one go. 'Orchard in Bloom', with the fruit trees in full blossom and the chickens scratching in the grass beneath them. 'Bog Myrtle in Bloom', with the golden catkins on the wet heath. And 'Country Road with Horse and Cart', the most expansive of the three: a sandy road across open heath, a cart in the distance, and beyond that only sky.
Emile Van Doren (Brussels 1865 – Genk 1949) came to Genk in the early 1890s and never left. He painted one landscape, over and over – and he did it while watching it disappear. In 1901, coal was discovered beneath Belgian Limburg. Van Doren took a seat on the Royal Commission for Monuments and Landscapes and became an advocate for the heath he painted. A good part of it is Hoge Kempen National Park today.
Together, the three pairs tell that story in the order he saw it: spring in the orchard, the bloom on the heath, and the road running straight through it. Knitted into organic cotton rather than printed – the colours are part of the sock itself, so they don't fade.
Three pairs in the same size – around 10% less than buying the three designs separately.
Limited edition: 700 pairs per design. When they're gone, they're gone – no reorders.

Why Organic Cotton?
Organic cotton is grown without harmful chemicals such as synthetic pesticides and fertilisers. Instead, natural methods are used to maintain soil health and manage pests. This process helps protect the environment and creates safer working conditions during harvest.
For our socks, this means you can enjoy soft, comfortable socks that are kind to the planet while being durable and sustainable. By choosing organic cotton, you help reduce chemical pollution and support ethical farming practices. It's a small choice that benefits both you and the environment!
